Not far from the much more touristy and pricey
Bordeaux region lies the relatively undiscovered pleasure of Cahors, a true find of a
French city on the Lot River from where we explored the area and its excellent vineyards
of the Cahors appellation. Cahors is known not only for its high-quality wines, but also
for its famous Pont Valentré and for the cupolas on its cathedral, reputed to be the
largest pair in France. In an odd coincidence, the Goddess also liked its knockers.
